The Learning Tower Construction

We bought a Learning Tower for MP3 and although it was expensive, I can already tell that it was well worth it!  On Sunday after coming home from Wilkes-Barre we, or should I say they, put it together.  Not only did MP3 love "helping" to put it together, but he couldn't wait to get in it and was crazy about the white board.  (We used the magnet to put up coloring pages with crayon.)

MP3 used his "hamma" and "wench" to help Dada put the "towa" together:

He was so excited, he couldn't wait for the platform to be put in. He wanted up right away. (BTW, we don't even know how he knew that's what it was for.)

Oh, how excited he was to be up at the counter! Until he "bumped" his hand but he kept at it anyway. Then he started yelling "Mike" into the foyer to hear the echo and cracking himself up. I assume it's from when I'm yelling to my husband for dinner when he's in his office. Oops!

Loving the dry erase board with the coloring page! Dad and Michael both had a good time coloring that day!

Sharks and Dancing

So, today was a big day!  It started out at the Adventure Aquarium with our Friends Lisa and Nate.  Fun was had by all despite the crowd.  I think every school in the tri-state area were there today.  But I was able to capture this little nugget in the shark tank.

So then we met up with Dada after work and went to the Springfield Mall.  It was the end of the night and we were getting ready to leave.  As we were walking my Express, the music called to him and MP3 couldn't resist to go in and have a dance party for himself!  It was the funniest thing ever!  He just kept dancing around the store yelling, "Walkin'!  Dancin'!"  Here's a taste of what went on.

The following three are some short gems of some pretty funky moves.

I love how he discovers himself in the mirror and just goes nuts!

Drumma!

So, I made the mistake, this morning, of telling MP3 that we were going to play the drums.  I meant that we were going to the library to the music class.  He misunderstood and thought we were going into the basement to play on the real drums.  So when Dada came home, he had a good time "playing" the pinball machine and the drums.

Artwork

Yet another thing that I thought I had a while to prepare for.  It's funny how whenever I present MP3 with a page to color or some type of craft to be colored, he barely touches the crayon to paper.  Turn my eye to him for a minute to finish dinner and this is what I got on my kitchen cabinet:
Just for comparison sake, here's what he drew tonight on the paper I gave him:

Notice how he the top pic is about twice as much as the bottom.  On the up side, it came right off with just some water.

The Kile Trip March 20-21

This weekend our friends from Wilkes-Barre came to visit.  MP3 had a GREAT time playing with the twins!  Saturday we went to the Adventure Aquarium.

Sunday we went to the Please Touch Museum.  It was the first time for all of us.  We had a BLAST!!!

NYC Trip on March 13-14

MP3's first time at Time Square.  Despite the rainy weather, we had a great time.

After a long day with Grammy Betty and Pops he crashed in his stroller.  The afghan is the one that Mike's grandmother made for him when he was a baby.  It seemed to do the trick.

Taking a break looking over NYC at the Museum of Natural History.

MP3 loved the dinosaurs.  Although he loved the bolts holding the glass cases together too.  He would run to each one, touch it, and say "that!"

Breaking My Heart

Well, after crying for about 5 minutes after I left him in his crib tonight (and woke him up opening the door as usual), MP3 started crying out for his book.  It was so pathetic.  It just broke my heart to hear him over the monitor, "a book? book? book?"  Then after another bout of crying he started with, "up? up? up?"  Then, after over 15 minutes of whining (can't even really call it crying) he pulled out the big guns, "diaper? diaper? diaper?"  I didn't think this sort of thing started so young!  At least he didn't as for medicine tonight.

My Turn at the Bug :(

Soooo, another night was spent on the couch for me.  This time because I was the one sooo sick!  I didn't want to go upstairs and wake everyone up every 15 minutes when I got up so I thought it was best.  On the up side, MP3 didn't throw up at all today but did have one NASTY diaper like last night.  Hopefully all that will be over with soon too for him.  As could have been expected Mike has to travel tomorrow and will be leaving tomorrow morning and not coming back until late Friday night.  By then my mom and her husband should be here.  We are all going to NYC very early in the morning on Saturday and my mom will be babysitting while my hubby and I get our drink on with his Villanova friends.  (OMG, just typing that makes me feel ill.)  We'll see how that goes.  I'm praying that I feel better tomorrow.  Today was just unbelievable!!!!!  Thank God Mike was able to stay home and take care of the baby today!!!  I seriously do not know what I would have done without him!!!!!

Ok, enough sick talk!  MP3 counted to 4 today!!!  He never says "one" I have to say that for him, but today there was a definite difference between 2 and 3.  They kinda sounded the same before.  And he added the 4 which he has never done before.  I say "one" -- he says "two" -- I say "two" -- he says "three" -- I say "three" -- he says "four" -- I say, "good boy!!!"  Sometimes he has to be prompted with a, "what comes after 2?"  But other than that, he's not parroting me, He's coming up with them all on his own.  How awesome!!!  I think he got to "D" with the ABC's tonight while playing his drums, but I'm not sure about that one.  Time will tell.

Poor Sick Guy

Well, we all slept downstairs last night.  MP3 on me on the couch and poor Mike on the love seat.  We just thought it would be best for the little guy.  He did get sick twice through the night and has just been sleeping all day.  Of course, because he has no fever and it still peeing a tiny bit and only lost a lb. or so, there's nothing the doctor says he can do.  I just feel so helpless.  I want to just make it all better!!!  It also doesn't help that he just wants to nurse constantly -- literally constantly!  And not being used to it, I'm in a LOT of pain and can't let him do it too much any more!  The poor guy!  He just want's to feel better.

So sick but still soooo cute (poor kid!  I kinda feel bad for taking this one)...
Napping...again.....

Sunday, March 7, 2010

Look how handsome he looks.  This is how our day started today.  So cute, so happy, so .... healthy.  We went to church and he was soooo good.  The best he's been in a while there.  We decided we would go to brunch after church.  I've been dying to try Azie's Sunday brunch for months and was so excited today would be the day!  Woo! Hoo!  Just as we were a block away and looking for parking, Michael wakes up from his nap, crying, then vomiting.  He has NEVER done that before.  It freaked me right out (and dad too).  It was everywhere!  We had to pull over, change him outside try to clean the car seat as well as we could, and get him strapped back in to get him home.  Have you ever tried to clean something like that out of a car seat???  It's impossible!  Even when you take it apart!  Anyway, he wanted some breakfast so we have him 3 tiny pieces of french toast.  He laid down for a nap and woke up crying and vomited again!  He has no fever, his diapers look normal.  I don't know what's wrong.  Hopefully he will be okay tomorrow.  And tonight for that matter!  Wish us luck!
